First thing in the morning when I wake up, I will stare out the window to a tree across the street for 20 minutes, during which I will have no other form of stimulation. Apparently it helps reset your brain's dopamine expectations, I find really helps with my attention throughout the day, I might help with your attention span and focus. Hong Kong 80’s Wedding is such a vibe!

Hey! My guestbook comments go under review before being posted which is probably why you didn’t see your post right away. Either way, thanks for your response!! I’ve been thinking it over since I made my initial post about the movie and again, while I don’t think he’s the “villain”, I do think that over time, he succumbs to the darkness inside him of wanting to fulfill his fantasy of being with Nikki, even if it comes at a cost of hers and his well being. He ignores plenty of red flags that something is wrong just so he can stay with her, which is definitely not good.

Hii!! you have a lovely space! I wanted to write about the movie obsession because yeah, I don't think "villain" is necessarily the correct word. Imo the dude is just a bad person. Honestly, he scares me more than Nikki. He's so willing to keep Nikki trapped to just live out his fantasy of being with her. He keeps waiting for her to just accept her new reality. He had many chances to set her free and he didn't. When she begs him to kill her, he says "is it really that bad to be with me?", making a horrible situation about himself as if Nikki was the rude one. Idk, I loved the movie, but the dude scares me a lot

love the brown and hello!!! i just got back from watching it too and it’s still messing w my head a bit and yeah i don’t really see bear as a villain either, more like he kept avoiding reality until it fully crashed on him... nikki felt like she was emotionally gone way before anything even “happened” so the whole “does she like him” question feels kinda secondary to me(?) anyway i need a minute to process it still

hey!! Thanks for responding with your thoughts! I’ve definitely got to rewatch it to see if my initial opinions have changed. I totally get the angle of “avoiding reality” and just being so overwhelmed w the situation that you don’t know what to do and what is right. He definitely made some questionable actions though. Such good movie, I’m loving all the discourse around it.
